Beaufort Music Video Production

We recently got the opportunity to work on a new music video for an up and coming hip hop / rap artist named Keem Scorpiano. We love working with artists in Beaufort, South Carolina, as there is a thriving music scene in that area of the country. This isn't our first rodeo in the world of Beaufort music video production. We've produced music videos with artists such as Whipp King, and they're always a blast!

Keem knew exactly what he wanted in his music video before we even had a conversation with him. Sure, we (Stories and Stills) added our own touch, look, and feel to the video, but the vision was clear for Keem as he set out to memorialize one of his music idols, Pop Smoke. Simplicity was the goal behind this video, but we added a little pizazz to keep it interesting. The blueprint was there, but we totally made it our own.

One of the most memorable shots to film was the driving scene. We had our drone but it just wasn't producing results we could be proud of. So, we improvised. Thankfully we had driven to Beaufort in my Ford F-150, so we decided to drop the tailgate down and film the old fashioned way...Sitting in the back of a moving vehicle! Now, don't get too excited. After all, we were filming in a Wal-Mart parking lot with little to no traffic. Nonetheless, I sat on the tailgate of the truck while Mark drove as Keem followed behind. Check it out in the video!

We finished up the 'Yota' Beaufort music video production at the Starbucks near downtown Beaufort. Keem wanted to film at the coffee shop, as his lyrics mention Starbucks throughout. My favorite part was him driving through to "make his order" with the lights shining nearby. Makes for a very cinematic look and we think you'll feel the same way!
