Chapin, SC Wedding Movie

Megan and Jason's big day was my first Catholic wedding video.  Growing up in a Baptist church, I'd only attended one Catholic Mass my entire life, so I was interested to get started.

The awesome Chapin, SC wedding day began at Studio J in downtown.  The ladies were all relaxing in their matching robes, sipping champagne, and putting on the finishing touches before it was time to head over to the church.  The salon is located upstairs above The Tipsy Toad Tavern.  Well, I know that now, anyway.  Big shout out to the lady in store next door for helping me finally find it.  Needless to say, I'd been walking around for a while before I finally asked for help.  You know how us guys are.  After opening gifts and sharing some laughs, the ladies departed for the church while I stayed back and captured some drone footage of the area.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church is a grand venue with a lot of beautiful features.  Aside from its aesthetics, however, I was simply excited about how wide open its lot was.  With no other buildings close by, I was able to fly my drone far away from the church and bring it in smoothly for a cool approach shot.  I love this job.  Once I got back inside and out of the blazing heat, it was time for the ceremony.I wasn't permitted to get very close to the action during the ceremony, but I made it work.  Thankfully I had a long zoom lens for my number two camera from the balcony.  Jason was mic'd up so regardless of the distance, the vows still came out nice and clear. Finally, my favorite part was definitely the reception, which took place at Saluda Shoals River Center.  Now, I have to be honest.  I love filming most receptions, but this one had a secret ingredient.  It was catered by Shealy's BBQ!  I loved it so much that I even posted a picture of my plate to Instagram with the hashtag #hungryvideographer and added "God bless this bride and groom."  Thank you Megan and Jason.  Thank you.

This great Chapin, SC wedding day began at Studio J in downtown Chapin, moved to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for the ceremony, and concluded at Saluda Shoals River Center. Thanks for the opportunity to capture your special day, Megan and Jason!
