If you're looking for country music video production to take your new country song to the next level, look no further than Stories and Stills. After all, two members of our music video production team are members of a country band and have starred in their own country music videos. It's a match made in Nashville heaven. In this blog post, we're going to share our experience creating a country music video for the band 'Savannah Sunday' and their song 'Impressed'. Oh, and I guess I should mention, 'Savannah Sunday' is our band!

Like most musicians, we didn't have a ton of time to devote to this video, and our drummer lives almost an hour from the rest of us. So when we started the planning phase for the 'Impressed' music video, we knew we had to make it simple and efficient. That didn't mean we had to skimp on the elements that make a country music video great. It just meant we were gonna have to keep cost down and make it quick. Did I mention there are four-wheeler doughnuts in this video?

I tell you the story behind this country music video production because like most musicians, we were on a tight budget and short on time. So if we could pull off a great music video under our band's circumstances, we will amaze you! We began the shoot in our lead guitarist's barn. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any horses in his barn for a neat look, but at least it didn't stink in there. We ran through the entire song two to three times to ensure we had plenty of footage to revert back to throughout the video. This is very important for any music video shoot. Always, always, always capture more footage of the entire song than you think you need. Otherwise, you might be left with very limited options for certain segments of the song.

My favorite segment of the video is the smoking drums shot. We grabbed some baby powder, coated the drums nice and thick, set the cameras to slow motion filming settings, and told our drummer to let it rip. We really like how it turned out and it didn't cost us a thing. Another awesome shot was filming our lead guitarist turning doughnuts on his four-wheeler. We cranked up the drone and told him to have fun. A little slow motion effect to turn up the effect, and there you have it.
