Do I Need a Wedding Videographer?

This is a question I see all over Google and the rest of the internet.  Do I need a wedding videographer?  Well, to be blunt, the answer is YES!

Now, I know what you're thinking.  "Of course, he's going to say that we need a videographer.  He just wants us to hire Stories and Stills."  In actuality, I would give anything if we would have hired a wedding videographer when my wife and I got married.  Unfortunately, at that time, cinematic wedding videography wasn't really a thing.  Instead, someone would show up with a video-camera, film everything that happened, and ultimately hand you a DVD.  Because it wasn't very appealing to watch, it wasn't a priority for my wife and I.  Those days are long gone.  Instead, Stories and Stills will create a stunningly cinematic wedding movie that you will watch a million times.

Here's another thing.  I realize that everybody wants pictures from their wedding.  But guess what?  How often do you think married couples go back and look at those pictures or dust off the old photo album?  I can tell you from my own personal experience that the answer is NEVER.  Now, on the other hand, if we had a ultra cool wedding movie that encompassed our entire wedding day in one amazing film, I'd click play any time I wanted to walk down memory lane.  Did your family from out of town just come over?  I've got a great idea!  Let's watch that hilarious moment on the dance floor when cousin Mike almost split his pants.  Oh wait, you can't because you decided you only wanted a photographer.  Instead, we'll just sit around and stare at a photo.

If I had to choose between videography and photography for my wedding, I would choose videography every time.  I love photography, but you simply can't recreate such an important day in your life with a picture.  It's just not the same.  And, with the quality of our high definition wedding movies, you never have to lose the memories of your special day.  Instead, you can relive the moments again and again.  So, ask yourself again.  "Do I need a wedding videographer?"  Hopefully you know the answer this time.
