Springdale House & Gardens Wedding
Deithre and I booked their wedding date almost a year in advance, so I was really looking forward to it.
When I first spoke to Deithre about filming her wedding at Springdale House & Gardens, I was sitting in a restaurant in Nashville, TN for a songwriting trip. Almost a year later and her big day had arrived. It's great to finally put a face with the voice of the bride and groom when they are from out of town. Deithre was actually living in Colorado at the time of our first conversation. Needless to say, it was neat to finally meet her in person.And finally the day had come. This was my first time filming at Springdale House & Gardens in West Columbia, SC. I always enjoy filming weddings at venues I've never worked at before. It presents a new challenge for me to acquire footage that showcases the best the spot has to offer. I really feel like I was able to express the character of the mansion through the video. On top of everything else, it's simply a cool venue.One of my favorite aspects of this video was my ability to get close shots during the ceremony. Because the ceremony took place outside on the lawn, there was plenty of room for me to roam around and get wide, sweeping shots without getting too up close and personal. I never want to take the focus off the bride and groom, so this was a great balance.
I had a great time getting to know everyone. The guests were some of the nicest people I've worked around, which always makes my job more enjoyable. I wish Deithre and Jeremy all the best with everything life has in store for them. Thanks for allowing me to capture your big day.
