University of South Carolina Wedding

As soon as found out this University of South Carolina wedding would take place in the horseshoe, I was pumped up!

As many times as I'd visited the campus and attended sporting events, I still had never visited the famous horseshoe.  It definitely lived up to the hype at this University of South Carolina wedding.  I never realized how huge the area was until we arrived.  I was even able to capture a bird's-eye-view with my drone which really gave me a new perspective on the horseshoe.  Thankfully there weren't too many people hanging out or walking around when I took off from the ground.  Before long I was flying all over the area with views most folks will never see.

Not only was the location amazing, so was the couple.  Katie and Bryan were a very fun couple and made me feel like part of the family.  I even got to ride the shuttle bus with them to Rutledge Chapel!  Wedding videographers and photographers really appreciate that sort of thing.  It was a beautiful day but lugging all that heavy equipment wasn't something I was looking forward to.  The getting ready and reception portions of the day took place at The Inn at USC which is close, but it was still a very welcome gesture.

The ceremony took place at Rutledge Chapel right inside the horseshoe.  It's a gorgeous venue with a lot of history.  I was even able to get some sneak footage from up in the balcony where the organ sits.  It was a quaint ceremony with tons of support.  My favorite part actually took part right after the ceremony wrapped up.  Once Bryan and Katie walked outside, they stood and waited for all of the guests to exit the chapel so that they could greet them.  It was a neat thing to see and film.  Everyone was very excited for them and I could tell Bryan and Katie appreciated it.  I think it's a very cool way to end a ceremony for any of you engaged folks who are looking for ideas. The day finalized back at The Inn at USC for toasts and dancing.  It was a fun night that I was very thankful to be a part of.  Thank you for the opportunity to capture your big day, Katie and Bryan!

The reception took place at the Inn at USC, 1619 Pendleton Street, Columbia, SC 29201.  The ceremony was at Rutledge Chapel, Columbia, SC 29208.

Thanks Katie and Bryan!
