If you’re a landscaping professional looking to enhance the outreach and appeal of your company, we at Stories and Stills can produce videos that will show customers what you’re all about. Landscaping is a very competitive market, so any steps you can take to rise above the rest is a smart move. In this video production, we teamed up with Cold Creek Nurseries and their landscaping division to showcase their ability to transform the outside of a home.

On the day we arrived for filming, our gps took us down a number of dirt roads, which led us to believe we were completely lost. Eventually, however, we spotted the light blue trucks synonymous with Cold Creek and instantly knew we were in the right place. The home was new construction, but the focal point of our day was the outside of the home. Cold Creek had been hired to completely transform the landscape of this home. You can see by the before pictures we sprinkled throughout the video, however, that transform is an understatement.

One of the things you’ll notice from this video is the tremendous clarity of the dialogue. We utilized our wireless lavalier microphones to provide crystal clear audio capture no matter where our main subject was standing in relation to the camera. It was a very windy day, but thankfully we have trusty “dead cat” style wind filters for our tiny lavalier microphones. Without them, the sound recordings would have captured lots of wind noise. Instead, the audio is flawless.

One of our favorite aspects of this video shoot, was the opportunity to fly and film with our drone. In order to give the viewer an opportunity to see the entire outdoor space in one shot, we utilized our aerial drone. Not only did we film high up over the entire property, we also utilized it’s smooth flying ability to showcase the slope of the yard, the beautiful new sod, and the meticulous landscaping around the pool. Despite the windy conditions, the video footage from the sky is silky smooth.
