'Meant to Be' Father-Daughter Duet

My 4-year-old daughter and I always sing this song together, so we figured we'd make our own Meant to Be father-daughter duet cover video.

We made a cover song video of ‘True Colors’ from the movie Trolls when she was 3, so maybe this'll be our new tradition.  Reagan and I definitely share a love for music.  My wife always makes the comment, "Do you guys have to sing everything?" when we're hanging out at the house.  I guess Reagan gets it honest.  We had a blast making this Meant to Be father-daughter duet cover song video.

From the first time Reagan and I heard this song on our way back from her dance class, we'd jam out to it anytime it came on.  So, it just seemed logical to make a new music video for it.  I didn't have much of an idea for the video concept.  One day I just grabbed the camera and told her we were going outside.  Thankfully I had only recently installed a super-high rope swing on a tree limb in the backyard.  I knew we could get some cool slow-motion shots of her swinging on it.  We also had a new playset put in a few weeks before, and I figured she'd have a blast acting like a star on it.We recorded our vocals in "the studio", aka our playroom, and my wife filmed us for the video.  I love knowing we'll have these vocal recordings of Reagan with her young voice years down the road.  Not too many people can say they have recordings of fully produced songs they sang when they were kids.  She'll even be able to play them for her kids on day, and I'm sure they'll get a kick out of that.  The crazy thing is, I'm sure Reagan just thinks of it as another day in the Underwood house.  Either way, we're having fun as a family and that's what matters.
